It was aged in a single refill hogshead before being finished in and vatted from American and European oloroso and Pedro Ximnez blood tubs. Blood tubs are tiny casks, usually 30 40 litres, and are very rarely seen in whisky production. A great opportunity to experience the profound impact these vessels have on flavour. Tasting note:
