After the Mt Lyell Mountain Mining Railway closed it was stored and later in the early 1990's plinthed on a replica section of trestle bridge and track in Queenstown rail yard in public view. It was put of display in about 1998 and given a rebuild to work on the West Coast Wilderness Railway which is the Mt Lyell railway but renamed SKILL LEVEL:
