Scallop Necklace ben nevis Introducing Tide Keeper- The ThalassaScallop Necklace in sterling silver The scallop also known as a fan shell, is a marine bivalve mollusk capable of rapidly swimming short distances using jet propulsion created by repeatedly clapping their shells together. This occurence is one of my favourite to witness while scuba diving. In many cultures across the world, the scallop is symbolic for many reasons. In Greek mythology, Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty was born from the sea
