Kept alive by volunteers, the tiny mining town is open to any visitor willing to brave the weather and road. We drove up on a stormy weekend and it snowed and rained, leaving us freezing cold. However we had a lovely picnic inside one of the restored houses and enjoyed the effort that went into keeping them around, and the history that took place in them.
