Towing winches for deep sea use LONG_TITLE class LS/C1 Scope This International Standard specifies requirements for the design, operation, performance and acceptance tests of towing winches having electric, hydraulic, diesel or steam drive. It is applicable to towing winches for deep sea use. It does not consider fibre rope winches but does not exclude their use.
