This one has many features in common with the earlier Tone Master pieces in terms of finish style and plating
The Soloist design was introduced with some of the earlier Mark VI saxophones and was included but by the 60's they had adapted their design to be slightly longer to cater to customers who preferred the intonation of the longer body design
These are among the first straight signature Tone Edge blanks
This last generation has the smallest chamber and lowest beak of the Soloist and "Soloist Style" pieces

Gary Sugal was one of the early players in the emerging mouthpiece market in the 1980's.
