"Self Portrait" Emilio Sanchez, (Cuban-American, 1921-1999) Slate Print which can be difficult toSelf Portrait, Watercolor, ca. 15 1 2 x 11 1 2, signed in pencil, on thick wove watercolor paper. Emilio Sanchez was an accomplished and prolific painter and printmaker from Cuba, who settled in New York. This early self portrait was a gift from the artist to Riva Castleman, late curator emeritus of prints at MOMA.
