Our laying course sands comply with the gradings set out in BS 7533 part 3 (1997)

The type of sand used is critical (we can alter the grading within certain limits to your requirements)

on its own or mixed with compost

Most of the above criteria are achieved by using a sand of an appropriate angularity and particle size distribution so that a golf ball impacts to give a "fried egg" lie
