Styx "Babe" A&M Records label award Culture Club and #10 in the UA&M Records label award for Styx's single "Babe". Released in Sept. 1979 it went to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, this became the most successful single for Styx, and also topped the charts in several other countries around the world. Styx vocalist keyboardist Dennis DeYoung wrote the track as a birthday present to his wife and hadn't intended for it to be a Styx song but other members of Styx convinced him to add it to their Cornerstone album.
