but the glass is called Paul and not Povl or Poul

The six glasses are in very good condition and have a clear sand nail at the bottom

which is probably a Danishization of the German "Glasausschnitt"

Frederik d. 8 rødvinsglas, 15 cm. Drikkeglas men her kaldt blomsterskårneHeight 15 cm. Diameter 7 cm. Frederik d. 8 is from 1917 and was discontinued in 1934, making it one of Holmegaard Glassworks' rarest glass. It is mouth blown from heavy crystal glass, with a beveled bowl that curves slightly at the edge. The glass has an attached beveled stem, which is in the shape of an inverted baluster. The stem has a narrowing, also beveled, just below the bowl. Perfect condition.
