His home is quiet and empty with pictures of his wife and son Mathew, as a constant reminder of what his life once was. As Eric leaves for work he is confronted by Shane, a sketchy stranger who wants to come in from the cold to use a phone. Eric denies the request and Shane pulls a gun forcing his way in.
