Take-off & Landing Checklist Indicator, SBD Dauntless, F4U-1 Corsair F4U Corsair Nakajima J1N Bomber Gekko akaHere is an exceptional specimen of the Take off and Landing Checklist Indicator as used on carrier based, WWII era US Navy Douglas SBC Dive Bombers as well as early 'birdcage' versions of the Vought F4U 1 Corsair Fighter. (see photo from the SBD Flight Manual showing the location of the indicator at position #7) The indicator presented one of two checklists to the pilot depending upon the procedure to be performed. The procedure is changed from Take
