We have aged this boro at approximately late 19th Century but believe that some of the patches may be as old as 200 years

They have been hand-carved with lovely flower illustrations

we've given it a new handle and restored the overall surface finish

they could be used for a similar purpose

Late 18th Century Dark Lacquered Hand-painted Chinese Book Cabinet Cabinets & Trolleys The size of this JapaneseThis beautiful book cabinet originated in China within the Qing dynasty. It was handmade and hand carved in the 18th century, and has a stunning dark lacquer finish. The cabinet has all of its original metalwork, however, it does have some age related marks and it has had some repairs overtime. The hand painted illustrations are what truly showcase the quality of this piece as they are bursting with symbolism. The red flowers symbolise the longevity
