this indicator was used in fighter P-47 Thunderbolt (see photo of P-47 instrument panel from its flight manual dated 1945)
It is presumed to be a WWII-era indicator used in aircraft of the Japanese Army or Navy
The E-4 System was used in the late 1940-1950's and was still in use in some 1960's aircraft
the calculator measures ~8 inches by 6 inches by 1/2 inch thick
