This special Power Dot covers the main playing area of the drumhead. The Power Thin is extremely durable while maintaining an open, sustained sound. The difference is that they have dots stuck to the underside of the head whereas the new Power Thin has the dot (made from a slightly thinner, newly patented material) stuck to the upper side.
