Description
The 2014 Barbaresco sees fruit sourced from the lower part of the Asili cru with some smaller amounts from Rabajà
the 1er portion accounts for about 2/3 of the cuvée)
The oak feels a little more evident (Carlos explained they used a little more new oak for it)
the 2018 Barolo Arione still has another year in botte and time in bottle before its commercial release
the two wines are different sides of the same coin
Maison Joseph Faiveley, Chambolle Musigny Amoureuses Vintage:2022 The 2014 Barbaresco sees fruitReduction. This is also an intensely mineral driven wine that possesses both excellent punch and delineation on the refined and highly complex middle weight flavors. The finish is quite gassy and a bit hard to read but my projected range offers the benefit of the doubt that the underlying material, and potential quality, is as good as I think that it is.
